This is Broadcast right before they fired all the members and became a two-piece; this album captures that sense of a multi-human orchestra. This album's tone is extremely consistent, perhaps to the point of sounding single-minded; regardless, there are some perfect songs, some of my favorites: "pendulum," "man is not a bird," "lunch hour pops," & "winter now." Definitely ones for the mixtapes.

The Good Good--F U R R O W S

download (MassMirror). I saw them play at the park, Potrero Del Sol over a generator roar, at least two years ago. It was great. They're from Brooklyn. They were signed by Menlo Park, a nice Brooklyn label that put out a few Deerhoof releases. None of that probably matters to you. It's a really good record, especially a young band's first.
